Insurance Appraisals
The professional jewelry appraiser:
Working within the jewelry industry by buying and selling jewelry does not make one an appraiser, nor should appraising be treated as an inalienable right that comes with the job. Appraising is a profession, just as a doctor, lawyer, or CPA, where one must be educated and tested.
It is important to have your jewelry appraised in case of loss or theft; without an appraisal, most homeowner or renters insurance will not cover the full worth of your jewelry. Also we offer estate and liquidation appraisals. We offer appraisal services with a fee relative to the amount of time it takes to appraise your jewelry. Due to the increasing fluctuation value of gold, platinum, and gemstones, we recommend having your jewelry appraised every two to three years.
We are very happy to offer you our expert professional gemologist appraisal services at Doerner Jewelers. We have several graduate gemologists with over 40 years of experience. Many insurance company’s refer their customers to us for this service. We are dedicated to helping you with the best possible service on your jewelry appraisals.
